Miguel, Free

A few weeks back I worked with TriBeCa Film to do a piece on Miguel and his Wildheart film. But to be honest, for me the best part of our talk that day had nothing to do with the segments TF needed. I was most into the things he had to say about progression and how hope and desperation made him discover more about himself.

I culled together the scraps from our shoot and whipped up this piece I’ve titled Free. As a creative looking to grow a bit myself, I appreciate anyone that can embrace times of turmoil while en route to their personal freedom. Clearly, Miguel’s in a great place now.

At some point during the end of the piece, you’ll see that Miguel feels like he’s rambling a bit on some spacey shit. “I hope that stuff made sense,” he wonders aloud. He was coming off a long day of press and a draining concert the night before. Still, it all made sense to me.

I hope y’all get it, too.
