Who “He” Is

Brad Weté is a Creative Content Director, a storyteller who has staffed as an entertainment, culture, lifestyle editor at Flaunt, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly, Complex and VIBE Magazine. He’s penned feature stories for GQ, Fader, NPR, TriBeCa Film and many other publications. Brad is also a Branded Content Editor and Event Producer. Clients include:

Flaunt Magazine Dinner with Nike and Revolve

 

Took lead on project with Nike for their 1 Reimagined campaign that combined an in-book feature (using illustrations in our Art/Witness Protection Issue) and an online feature with photography of all 10 sneakers with a mid-February all-female dinner and a Spring Fashion Issue cover story with SZA (written by Brad) wearing pairs from the line. First Flaunt earned from Nike in nearly a decade. Fostered and nurtured a new relationship with Nike. He proposed the ideas, aided in the production and editing of the Nike Women’s content and led the charge toward the execution of the event.

THE BROAD MUSEUM

We've teamed up with @flauntmagazine for #infiniteLA, a series of videos exploring artist #YayoiKusama and her artwork. Our first video explores Kusama's groundbreaking role as an artist who follows her own path and who has become one of the most influential artists in an art world dominated by men. Los Angeles chef @nikinakayama and her wife @carolerikaiida are creating their own rules and achieving acclaim at their Japanese kaiseki restaurant, n/naka. Led the way on a video series with the Broad Museum’s Yayoi Kusama exhibit where we added some depth and understanding to an exhibit that the museum feared would become a selfie-and-out show. In their Instagram campaign, he interviewed 10 of Los Angeles’ most renowned activists and minds in their creative spaces and offices for videos that connected the missions of our subjects to pieces in Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors artworks.

Featured subjects like  acclaimed artist Mark Bradford, actress Dita Von Teese, French dancer, choreographer and filmmaker Benjamin Millepied, and Black Lives Matter co-founder and artist Patrisse Cullors.

PRADA

Assisted in the production of our Fall/Winter ‘17 Prada media project. Flaunt shot a short film series with Hollywood talents Halston Sage, Bria Vinaite, Lakeith Stanfield, Joe Keery, Sophia Lillis, and Ben O’Toole for Drop, Cover and Hold On. It resulted in copy for Flaunt‘s print pages, videos for Flaunt‘s site and socials and a celebration of their collection and the Aftershock Issue, which Brad helped produce as well.


 

In addition to being a writer, Brad is also a video editor and photographer. He Tells Stories is a forum for his work and thoughts. Video clients so far include Sony ATV Publishing, RCA Records, TriBeCa Film, and Epic Records.
